PiratesFest returns this weekend at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh. It’s tomorrow and Saturday from 10 AM to 2 PM each day. Admission is free with a reserved digital ticket, which you can get at pirates.com. Season ticket holders get in an hour early, at 9 AM.
Major League Baseball has released the schedule for the Spring Training Breakout, featuring the top prospects of each of the participating teams. The Pirates will take on the Phillies in Clearwater on Friday, March 14th at 1:05 PM. The game could feature future Pirates stars Bubba Chandler, Braxton Ashcraft, Termarr Johnson, and Konnor Griffen.
The Pirates yesterday released a statement on the passing of baseball legend Bob Uecker, who died from the effects of lung cancer at age 90. The Bucs posted on X, “We join the entire baseball community in mourning the passing of the legendary Bob Uecker, whose distinct style and personality captivated generations of baseball fans. We would like to extend our deepest condolences to his friends, family and loved ones.”
