One person was hurt in a crash Thursday afternoon in Center Township.
Firefighters from Homer City, Coral-Graceton, and Black Lick; Citizens’ Ambulance and state police were summoned to the intersection of Route 119 South and Luciousboro Road in Center Township around 1:45 p.m. for a crash involving an IndiGo bus and an SUV.
Evan Bertig with the Coral-Graceton Fire Department said the driver of the SUV was confined when crews arrived and suffered an unspecified injury. They were treated on-scene by Citizens’ Ambulance before being transported to IRMC.
Two occupants and the driver of the bus were uninjured.
Both southbound lanes and one northbound lane of 119 were closed for one hour as crews tended to the scene. No word on the cause.
Another crash was reported shortly before 1 p.m. along Johnsonburg Road in Canoe Township. Rossiter Fire Department, Punxsutawney EMS and state police were dispatched. Details on that incident are not available.
Indiana, Homer City, Coral-Graceton, and Creekside fire companies, the RIT team, Indiana Borough Police & Citizens Ambulance were also dispatched to a fire at 1156 Oakland Avenue around 12:15. That was quickly deemed a “culinary mishap” and crews were cleared shortly after the call went out.
