Mitch Keller took a lot of the blame for the loss, giving up seven runs and eight hits in 3 and 2/3rds innings, walking four and striking out four. Mistakes also continued on defense with Oneil Cruz and Alexander Canario each committing an error.
Some other bad news for the Bucs: Starting left fielder Tommy Pham got sick after his first at bat and left the game.
Weather permitting, the Pirates and Yankees will play again this afternoon. Due to our commitment to NCAA Basketball today, we will not have the Pirates game on our airwaves.
