The heavy rain that has come through our area has triggered a flood watch from the National Weather Service.
The watch is in effect until 8:00 AM tomorrow morning for Indiana, Armstrong, and other portions of southwestern PA. Excessive runoff could result in the flooding of rivers, creeks, streams and other low-lying or flood-prone areas. An additional one to one-and-a-half inches of rain is expected through tonight, and totals could be higher in other areas, and with the ground already saturated from recent heavy rain, the probability of flooding has increased.
The NWS advises everyone to monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible flood warnings and those in flood-prone areas should be ready to take action if needed. Stay with us as we’ll have the latest AccuWeather forecast throughout the weekend.
