Three more brush fires were reported by Indiana County 911 on Friday.
The first was at 7:08 AM on Metz Road in White Township. Indiana Fire Association officials said that a passerby had noticed smoke and called 911. It turned out to be a controlled burn that was extinguished quickly.
The Armagh/East Wheatfield and Clyde fire departments were called out at 8:59 AM for brush fire reported on Power Plant Road in East Wheatfield Township. The third brush fire was at 2:25 PM as Plumville Firefighters were called out to Smyrna Road in South Mahoning Township.
Details on those two fires have not been released as of yet. This makes 39 brush fires of the year in Indiana County.
Along with those incidents, there was a structure fire reported at 2137 Route 210 in North Mahoning Township just south of Valier at 7:37 last night. Plumville, Dayton, Perry Township, and Lindsey fire departments along with the Indiana County RIT team and Punxsutawney EMS were called out.
