Amy R. Hess, 50, of Indiana passed away on October 19, 2023, at Indiana Regional Medical Center. Born on August 8, 1973, to Carol (Berringer) Hess and the late Howard Hess, Amy was a beacon of kindness, thoughtfulness, and selflessness throughout her life.
Amy dedicated her professional life to helping others, working as a therapeutic activity aide at Torrance State Hospital. Her compassionate nature and unwavering dedication to her work made a significant impact on the lives of many. Amy’s selfless spirit extended beyond her professional life as she volunteered her time at Four Footed Friends, a local animal rescue organization, where she brought comfort and care to countless animals in need.
Amy’s kindness and thoughtfulness were not only evident in her work but also in her relationships. She was a devoted mother to her son, Shane Nicewonger, who was the light of her life. Her love for her family was boundless, and she cherished every moment spent with her mother, Carol, and her brother, Bryan Hess, and his wife, Twyle. Amy also shared a special bond with her dear friend, Dennis Radabaugh, whose companionship brought her immense joy and comfort.
